OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 April 2009 was announced, that the fueling company Gazpromneft-Aero Bryansk received a license to store aviation kerosene and to fuel aircraft at the Bryansk airport. The company is a joint venture of CJSC Gazpromneft-Aero and OAO Mezhdunarodniy airport Bryansk.

“The start of the fueling company, Gazpromneft-Aero Bryansk’s operations is yet another step in the resumption of the Bryansk airport’s full operation within the framework of its modernization” – said the General Director of CJSC Gazpromneft-Aero Vladimir Egorov.

CJSC Gazpromneft-Aero is a subsidiary of JSC Gazprom Neft and was founded in January 2008. The company’s main line of business is the sale of aviation fuel that is produced at JSC Gazprom Neft’s oil refineries and the operation of fuelling facilities at airports in the Russian Federation.

The company includes five subsidiaries that own retail assets: LLC Toplivno-zapravuchnya Kompaniya Severo-Zapad in the St. Petersburg airport Pulkovo, LLC Gazpromneft-Aero Murmansk, LLC Gazpromneft-Aero Tomsk, LLC Gazpromneft-Aero Bryansk, and LLC Gazpromneft-Aero Sheremetyevo. The company also operates JSC Gazprom Neft’s subsidiary, CJSC Gazpromneft-Aero Novosibirsk at the Tolmacheva airport.

CJSC Gazpromneft-Aero’s development strategy till 2020 envisions the development of its own network of modern fuelling facilities. By 2012, the company’s retail sales should hit 1.4 million tons of aviation kerosene per year. By 2020, the company plans to have over 20 fuelling facilities located in Russian and foreign airports.

The Bryansk international airport, which is part of the Novaport group, is located on the R-22 air route that connects Moscow and Kiev, and Europe and the Middle East. It is Russia’s frontline airport in the southwestern sector. The Bryansk airport supports domestic and international transport on Il-76, Tu-154, Il-18, An-12, Yak-42, and Boeing-737 aircraft.

The Bryansk airport’s 2009-2012 development program envisages its step by step modernization. The first stage will involve modernizing the air terminal, arrival terminal and freight terminal.

The second stage involves the construction of an airport complex that will include a building for the passenger terminal, a building for the freight terminal, an in-flight catering facility, and hangars for storage and maintenance of business aircraft.

The third stage involves the construction of a logistics center, hotel, and also an office center for workers of the logistics center.
