OREANDA-NEWS. April 9, 2009. This March State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) increased liquefied gas extraction by 29.5% compared to January of the year.

SOCAR informed for Jan-Mar 2008 it was produced 38,000 tons of liquefied gas versus 181,130 in 2008, 145,030 in 2007 and 148,220 in 2006.

This year in March 2009 the production totaled 14,350 tons, in February 12,570 tons and in January 11,080 tons. In December 2008 it was produced 11,610 tons of liquefied gas and record production was registered in October of 2008 (18,050 tons) and in December 2007 (20,120 tons).
