ROSNO Develops Insurance Coverage for Security Companies
OREANDA-NEWS. April 08, 2009. ROSNO experts have offered private security companies (PSC) a new comprehensive protection program "Under Protection". The program contemplates insurance protection of the PSCs in the following three risk categories: employee accident insurance (which is obligatory under the Law No.2487-1), corporate property insurance, and insurance coverage of liability incurred in connection with private security and detective activities, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.
The insurance coverage of life and health of the PSC employees applies to the following risks: temporary complete loss of general working ability due to an accident; permanent complete loss of general working ability due to an accident — with ascertained 1st, 2nd, or 3rd disability group; death due to an accident during performance of job duties under the labour contract. The insurance protection will be effective during performance of job duties by the PSC employees.
The property insurance contemplates protection of immovable property (building/premise, internal furnishing), as well as movable property (office machinery, portable equipment and special facilities, such as walkie-talkies, electric shockers, batons, alarms, control panels, video surveillance systems, radio terminals, camcorders, etc., except firearms and gas spray guns).
Under the insurance coverage of civil liability incurred by the PSCs in course of performance of professional security activities (the program "Under Protection"), the insured accident is constituted by emergence of the insurant’s obligation to reimburse the damage inflicted to property and/or life and health of third parties in connection with neutralization of individuals committing deliberate unlawful acts; use of special technical means or firearms to signal alarm or ward off the assault; destruction (loss) or damage to any property as a result of any actions aimed at preventing penetration of malefactors into the guarded area or intended for neutralization of such malefactors; incidental injuries caused to third parties through careless handling of firearms or special technical means; undeliberate spoilage of property in course of performance of detective and/or security activities; undeliberate disclosure of confidential client information constituting commercial secret.
"When developing this product, we based ourselves on the need of private security companies to obtain insurance coverage for the three principal risk categories that they face in their professional activities. The quantity of the PSCs is increasing year after year, which is demonstrated by the police statistics. Therefore, we have decided to prepare a comprehensive offer containing three standard products convenient for subscription by this growing category of insurants", commented on the launch of the new product Ms. Yekaterina Fedorova, Deputy Director of the Insurance Products Analysis and Development.
