MK Uralmash Made Contract with Mikhailovsky Enterprise
OREANDA-NEWS. April 8, 2009. Uralmash Engineering JSC, an engineering department of the Uralmash Machine-building Corporation (ZAO MK Uralmash) has entered into a contract with Mikhailovsky ore dressing and processing enterprise to carry out monitoring of crushing and milling equipment (supplied to GOK by Uralmash in earlier years) in 2009.
Mikhailovsky GOK is a long-time partner of Uralmash, and one of its largest customers. During the last years it had received a large quantity of various crushing and milling equipment, including the latest product - KMD 2200 T6-D crushers. Due to this, the first regional Uralmash service center was created at Mikhailovsky GOK in 2008. Last year Uralmash experts started to monitor crushing and milling equipment operating at Mikhailovsky GOK.
The work at Mikhailovsky GOK requires a systems approach to gathering status data, registering all failures and deviations from the normal operating mode. Service specialists control the operation, maintenance and repairs of the Uralmash equipment. During monitoring, all customer's improvement suggestions are taken into account and carefully analyzed by designers of the Mining equipment division within Uralmash Engineering JSC. The proposals that are capable to actually enhance the efficiency will be implemented in new machines. The mistakes made by the customer are not left untended either: specialists of the regional service center promptly give out recommendations regarding error correction. The regional service center plans to provide service support to other customers of Uralmash MK - mining, metallurgical, handling and storage equipment in the region of the Kursk magnetic anomaly. The support would involve erection, adjustment and commissioning within the warranty and post-warranty periods, as well as spares backing from the regional spare parts store.
It is one of priorities of MK Uralmash to increase service support for delivered equipment. Monitoring of the equipment at Mikhailovsk GOK is just a single stage of the "Equipment Service" project MK Uralmash is currently working on. The project aims at rendering complete set of service support for mining and metallurgical industrial equipment.
It is planned to open one more service center in Siberia, Kemerovo region, before long. A large quantity of machinery produced by MK Uralmash is already operating there. After that, a minimum of five service centers is planned for creation in different regions of Russia. The centers will either be integrated into larger enterprises or located close to clusters of smaller companies that purchase equipment manufactured by MK Uralmash.
