Moscow Hosts Conference of Suppliers of Nuclear Industry
OREANDA-NEWS. April 8, 2009. While opening the conference, today, Apr 8, 2009, Executive Director of Atomenergoprom OJSC Kirill Komarov said that the event was supposed to become one of the channels of communication with project owners and suppliers in the framework of the ongoing NPP construction program.
“We have developed and approved a standard scheme of two-unit nuclear power plant and on its basis are drafting relevant standard documentation. In order to enhance the economic efficiency of the deliveries of equipment for the ongoing NPP construction projects, the Directorate of Integrated Customers, has undertaken the responsibility for procurement of equipment of prolonged manufacturing cycle. One of the key factors influencing the costs and deadlines of an NPP construction project is the quality of equipment supplied to the construction site. The quality cannot be ensured without efficient quality management system,” Komarov said.
The objective of the conference is to enhance the competitiveness of NPP construction projects in Russia and abroad by building up mutually beneficial relations with suppliers of equipment and services and by more effectively using investment resources.
Over 70 Russian and foreign companies are taking part in the event: "Gutor Electronic LLC", "Skoda JS," ArmEnergoSpetsKomplekt, Siberian Chemical Combine, Electrochemical Plant, Afrikantov OKBM, Sib—Tyazhmash, Power Machines, E4, Ukrainian Construction and Energy Company as well as heads and representatives of specialized departments of Atomenergoprom OJSC, Energoatom Concern OJSC, Atomstroyexport CJSC and Moscow, St.Petersburg and Nizhniy Novgorod Atomnergoproekts (the general contractors of NPP construction projects in Russia) will take part in the event.
