OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 April 2009 was announced, that the branch of Ingosstrakh IJSC in Volgograd insured the winter wheat crop of the collective farm Sovkhoz Karpovskiy of Gorodischensky district, Volgograd region. The insured amount is RUB 30.08 ml. The beneficiary under the contract is the Volgograd branch of the Russian Agricultural Bank, since the crop is insured within the framework of the collateral insurance.

Total area of crop is 4000 hectares. They are insured against total or partial loss caused by freezing out, frost, rotting, lifting, ice crust, damping-off, waterlogging, lengthy pouring rains, downpour, strong wind, dust (sand) storms, hurricane, hail, drought, spring high water and flood.

The key criteria for selection of the insurer were the price of the contract, amount of services, the procedures and quality of cooperation with the insurance company in case of arrival of the insured event, business reputation of the insurer and financial performance of the company.
