OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 April 2009 was announced, that according to the banks' management, Prominvestbank will lend USD 500mn to Ukrainian producers in the nearest two-three months. Meanwhile, the bank has already received the loan claims for around USD 300mn and announced that it considered the claims of Motor Sich < MSICH UZ > and Zaporizhtransformator < ZATR UZ >.

Millennium Capital sees the news to be POSITIVE for both PIB and the industrial producers. According to Millennium Capital’s estimation, Ukrainian producers borrowed around UAH 70bn to support their operational activity in 2008. This, considering the drop in the total output, suggests that they will need less amount to borrow in 2009, thus making PIB’s investment to be significant for the domestic industry.
