OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2009. The delegation of the FAS Russia headed by Mr. Andrey Tsarikovskiy, the Stats-Secretary - Deputy Head of the FAS Russia, visited Mexico City, Mexico, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

During negotiations with the high level officials of the Federal Competition Commission of the United Mexican States, held within the frameworks of the visit, the Parties informed each other about the main directions of their activities in the sphere of competition policy and about the latest changes in the competition legislation.

Within the frameworks of the visit the Parties discussed the perspectives of the further development of the Russian-Mexican cooperation in the sphere of competition policy, the main directions of which are reflected in the draft Agreement on cooperation between the Federal Antimonopoly Service (Russian Federation) and the Federal Competition Commission of the United Mexican States in the sphere of competition policy.

This Agreement provides for the legal base for cooperation between the antimonopoly authorities of Russia and Mexico, in particular when conducting investigations of certain cases of antimonopoly law infringement that effect interests of both parties, and ensures bringing cooperation between the two authorities at a higher level. The main provisions of this Agreement have been agreed during negotiations and the Parties expressed their readiness to sign this document in the frameworks of the forthcoming bilateral meetings.

Moreover, within the frameworks of cooperation in the sphere of control over public procurement the FAS Russia visited the Ministry of Public Administration of the United Mexican States, responsible in particular for control over public procurement. During the meeting the Parties informed each other about the main directions of their activities and about the latest achievements in the sphere of control over public procurement and expressed readiness to develop the Russian-Mexican cooperation in this field, in particular the Parties determined the main directions of such cooperation, such as: anti-corruption activity in the public procurement sphere, development of e-procurements and training of highly-qualified employees.
