OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) has processed administrative cases against "MEDHELP" Ltd. and "Delovoi Mir" Publishing House" Ltd. for violating the legislation on advertising. Each company is fined 40 000 Rubles, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Earlier FAS Russia found that the advertisement of medical services of "MEDHELP" Ltd. (the advertiser), published in the "Krasota&Zdorovye" magazine by "Delovoi Mir" Publishing House" Ltd (the distributor of the advertisement) was unfair, and issued a determination to stop distributing the advertisement.

Contrary to Part 7 Article 24 of the Federal Law "On Advertising", the area of the mandatory warning in the advertisement covered less space that the statutory requirements.

Under Part 7 Article 24 of the Federal Law "On Advertising", advertisements of medical services must include a warning on possible contraindications to their application, and the area of such a warning in those advertisements must be no less than five per cent of the advertising spare (advertising area).
