OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 April 2009 was announced, that Nikolay Kalistratov, the Director General of OAO “PO “Sevmash”, conducted negotiations in India.

The next phase of meeting between the Russian and Indian parties concerning repair and modernization of aircraft-carrier “Vikramaditya” took place in Delhi. We remind you that in February the Russian party reported of its price position for contract and the Indians took it for consideration.

Nikolay Kalistratov noted that in the nearest future the problem concerning appropriation of additional funds for Sevmash to complete works on the ship should be solved. “But we shall also muster up our strength and duplicate the number of workers involved in aircraft-carrier construction. I have already given the appropriate instructions to the personnel department “, – Kalistratov emphasized.

Sevmash have not got payments from the Indian party for two years and that did not allow expanding works on the ship in full. After receiving additional funds the enterprise shall be able to accelerate the work.
