OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 April 2009 was announced, that a new machining center “Vertimaster” of German Company “SCHIESS” was put in operation at Sevmash.

Recently Sevmash administration and German colleagues have signed Delivery-acceptance certificate of the largest machine of that kind in Russia. The unique machine allows working the parts of weight up to 100 t, diameter up to 5 m and height 4.5 m. The products being manufactured using this equipment shall be intended for civil orders of Sevmash.

Shipbuilders’ cooperation with Company “SCHIESS” has been lasting for a few tenth anniversaries and both friendship between the companies and quality of the supplied equipment established have deserved an excellent mark only. In recent years Sevmash machine stock has been actively renewed: two years ago a machine for working the large metal structures “Horimaster-5” was put into operation, nowadays a vertical turning-milling working machine “Vertimaster” comes into action.

The equipment was supplied to the enterprise in December, 2006. It has been prepared to operation for more than two years. Now during guarantee period that is until March, 31, 2010 the workers shall have been checking machine performance to the maximum extent.
