OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 April 2009 was announced, that a group of Moscow cadets have spent their spring holidays in Severodvinsk at the invitation of OAO “PO “Sevmash”.

Nineteen pupils of cadet residential school No1700 “Moscow joint marine corps of Sevastopol heroes” come to our town not for the first time. Children’s delegation exchange program works within agreement for cooperation between OAO “PO “Sevmash” and Government of the capital. During spring holidays, shipbuilders traditionally meet children from Moscow, and young Severodvinsk citizens have a rest in the capital for New Year’s holidays.

As usual specialists of Sevmash personnel administration made the program of visit to the maximum extent saturated, interesting and cognitive for the children. For 4 days they have visited the enterprise, factory museum, Nikolo-Korelsky monastery, nuclear submarine “Severstal”, heavy guided weapon cruiser “Admiral Nakhimov”, training complex for submariners of Belomorskaya Naval Facilities, got acquainted with the town and regional center.

They met with Nikolay Kalistratov, the Director General. He told them how shipbuilders appreciated the friendship with Yuriy Luzhkov, the Mayor of Moscow, how the work at the powerful shipbuilding enterprise went and wished: “Seven feet underkeel!”. Children were given souvenirs and, of course, famous sailor’s forage cap and frock as a keepsake to remind of the factory visit. Moscow guests presented us books about cadet corps.
