OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2009. Aeroflot Russian Airlines JSC has closed its first deal at the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange for jet fuel with delivery at the Sheremetyevo base airport, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

The Exchange started jet fuel trading within its Petroleum section in the late 2008.
Aeroflot welcomes the development of jet fuel exchange trading in Russia, as it enables pricing transparency and generates transaction prices which objectively reflect the intersection of buyer and seller’s interests.

Aeroflot sees exchange trade as an effective and necessary mechanism of managing price risks on the air transport market with usage of the modern financial tools.
