OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 April 2009 was announced, that the Cooperation Agreement was signed during the meeting of UTK’s CEO Alexander Andreev and the President of the Adygeia Republic Aslan Thakushinova. The main subject of the discussion was the development of telecommunications in the Republic. Representatives of the Republic Government and Director of UTK’s Adygeia branch Vladimir Gusev took part in the meeting.

Aslan Thakushinov stated that the Agreement would make it possible to deploy new information and telecommunication technologies in the Republic more actively. – Commitments undertook by Southern Telecommunications Company will finally provide the population of the Republic with qualitative telephone and Internet services, that will entail increase in tax payments, - the President of the Adygeia Republic noted. – For our part, being representatives of the Republic executive government, we undertake every obligation to assist in realization of your investment projects.

- Unfortunately, our business plans have changed greatly due to global economic crisis, - UTK’s CEO Alexander Andreev said. – Last year we invested 120 million roubles in telecommunications development of the Adygeia Republic. This year, depending on the economic situation, we plan to invest about 20 million roubles. Alexander Andreev noted that the investment amounts could be increased depending on the performance results of the Company in the first half of 2009. At the same time he named as priorities the improvement of quality of telecommunication services and the increase in penetration of new technologies in all areas of the Republic. The Company completed the construction of fiber optic line in Adygeia. At present the joint plans of UTK and the Republic Government include reconstruction of telephone networks in regional centers of the Republic that will allow them to realize the planned projects.
