OREANDA-NEWS. April 3, 2009. The web-site http://www.salma-ski.ru presents information about the services of the complex, its events, maps, photos and videos. The visitors will be able to ask questions concerning accommodation and prices.

The web-site has been designed by Webhibiny company in close cooperation with the Information Department of Kola NPP.

SALMA ski complex is a facility situated on "Bald Mountain" 10 km away from Poliarnye Zori (or 5 km away from Kola NPP) — the favorable recreation zone of the local residents. Come down from the mountain at a breathtaking speed is an experience you will never forget. You feel yourself a real victor!

Up to 500 people can ski there at one time. The local hotel can accommodate up to 50 people. Due to the modern artificial snowing system, you can ski there from Nov till May.

Kola NPP is the key electricity supplier of Murmansk region and the Republic of Karelia. It is situated 200 km south of Murmansk on the shore of Imandra, one of the biggest and finest lakes of Northern Europe. The plant has four units 440 MW each (half of the region’s power generating capacity). The annual production capacity is over 12bln KWh. Kola NPP is absolutely safe. Today, it is operating at full capacity, which is a good basis for the region’s industrial development.
