Belarus to Ensure Stable Supplies to Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2009. Belarusian auto-aggregate works will get loans to ensure uninterrupted supplies to Russia, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky said after a meeting with Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod oblast of Russia Valery Shantsev in Minsk on April 1.
“We should not interrupt supplies of engines, starters, gears. On the contrary we need to increase their exports in 2009,” the Prime Minister said. According to him, lending will be provided to make sure the supplies of these products to Russia are stable in the next two or three months. This is the right decision,” Sergei Sidorsky said.
The task is not to interrupt supplies of component parts, not to lose jobs, to complement each other and to connect the markets of the two countries, the Belarusian Prime Minister said. There are good prospects in 2009: Gorky Auto-Works is going to increase the output of assembled vehicles.
An action plan for 2009 was signed in Minsk to implement the cooperation programme between the Republic of Belarus and Nizhny Novgorod oblast of the Russian Federation for 2006-2010. A protocol was signed between the Minsk oblast executive committee and the government of the Nizhny Novgorod to organize recuperation summer trips of school students from the Minsk and Nizhny Novgorod oblasts in children’s summer camps.
