OREANDA-NEWS. On 31 March 2009 was announced, that SITRONICS Information Technologies, one of the leading system integrators working in East Europe and the CIS countries, completed the project on the creation of the new unified information infrastructure of the bodies of the State Statistics of Ukraine, which was realized within the framework of the project of the World bank:  "Development of the State Statistics System for monitoring social-economic transformations".

Due to the development and introduction of the uniform IT-infrastructure, which unites territorial divisions of statistical departments of Ukraine, the experts at regional and district levels have gained convenient and safe access to statistical data from the whole country. The project was realized within 20 months. Works for uniform information-technical infrastructure creation were conducted in two stages.

At the first stage, the hardware and software system of the uniform IT environment was created in 498 regional departments of statistics. Within the framework of the second stage, the central office and 27 regional departments, including Kiev and Sevastopol ones, were integrated into the incorporated network of the State Committee of Ukraine for Statistics. The centralized control system was developed for optimization of support tools of this large-scale IT-infrastructure.

"Modern statistical departments need to use the latest information technologies. Due to the project, which was finished by the experts of the company, we have got modern technical architecture of information system of the bodies of the State Statistics of Ukraine which became a reliable basis for the performance of application tasks and functioning of system services. It provides the opportunity for the on-line control of the IT-infrastructure of the organization and raises the reliability of the information system functioning as a whole. The updated technological base will bring the organization of the processes of acquisition, processing and distribution of the statistical information to a new level", - said Ekaterina Shishkina, the representative of the State committee of statistics of Ukraine.

"This project is the first of such large-scale projects of the State committee of statistics of Ukraine. The experts of our company incorporated a uniform information-technical infrastructure within more than 4 thousand workplaces in all divisions of statistical departments - the central office, 27 central administrative boards in the regions and 498 district offices. Previously, our company introduced the system of processing and storing the results of the population census of Ukraine for 2001 which supported the simultaneous work of a thousand users", – said Anatoliy Veres, General Director of SITRONICS Information Technologies in Ukraine.
