Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy Welcomes Largest Russian Bulk Carrier
OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2009. The bulk carrier Zolotaya Kolyma for the first time arrives at Petropavlovsk - Kamchatskiy delivering as much as 22000 mts of high-quality coal extracted from Kuzbas coal strip mines. This cargo is to be used for the population utility needs of the regional centre and other settlements of Kamchatskiy region. The vessel is expected to be berthed at the coal handling terminal of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy commercial port and unloaded within the next three days.
M/v Zolotaya Kolyma is the largest Russian -flag bulk carrier in the Far East. The impressive freight -carrying capacity of the vessel allows considerable cut on the shipment expenditures.
Since the year 2002 m/v Zolotaya Kolyma is engaged in the North Supply program delivering coal to Magadan and Magadan Region. This year the vessel starts coal supply voyaging to the region of Kamchatka.

m/v Zolotaya Kolyma was build in 1981 in Germany. The 28000DWT vessel is 199,8m long and 46m high above the keel. The owner of m/v Zolotaya Kolyma is Tranzit-Sever-Vostok Co. Ltd, one of the enterprises of the holding Group Tranzit DV Co., Ltd.
For more than 10 years Group Tranzit DV Co., Ltd. is engaged in the North Supply program delivering fuel and coal to Magadan and Kamchatka regions. Last year Chukot Autonomous Area joined this project.
