OREANDA-NEWS. On 31 March 2009 was announced, that Irkutskenergo company is among system forming enterprises which have a strategic value for the national economy.

Commenting on this fact, Konstantin Zaitcev - Deputy of the State Duma, Deputy Chairperson of the Duma committee for energy industry, noted the following,

“Owing to an efficient work of Irkutskenergo and to an efficient position of its shareholders, the region has the lowest tariffs for the population in the country. The Company is constantly realizes large-scale investment programs by investing sizable funds in modernization of the existing capacities and development of new ones.

Support of the business stability on the part of the Government however does not mean direct financial support. It is assumed that various financial and economic mechanisms will be applied.
