UTair Transported Biathlon World Cup Participants to Khanty-Mansiysk
OREANDA-NEWS. On 31 March 2009 was announced, that the biathlon World Cup participants were transported to Khanty-Mansiysk by UTair Aviation plains to participate in the final stage which took place from March, 26 to 29. UTair has been the official transporter of the Cup, the final contests of which are traditionally held in the capital of Ugra since 2000.
Air company’s planes performed 4 international charter flights from Trondheim (Norway), having carried more than 300 passengers to Khanti-Mansiysk. The survey squad of a German television company ARD - German Television Coordination Sport arrived in the capital by means of a separate flight from Karlsrue (Germany).
Famous Norwegian sportsmen: a fivefold Olympic Champion Ole Einard Byorndailen and a threefold World Champion in skiing Lans Berger; renowned German biathlonists Magdalen Neuner, Andrea Henkel, Kati Vilgheim, Michael Greiss and Frank Ulrich; a Polish biathlonists Tomash Sikora; Russians - Ivan Cheresov, Olga Zaitseva, Svetlana Sleptsova were among the passengers of UTair Aviations flights.
UTair organized special return flights on the route Moscow - Khanti-Mansiysk to transport the fans to biathlon World Cup.
