Atom Innovation Center and IHEP Signed Cooperation Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2009. The Atom Innovation Center and the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP, Protvino, Moscow region) have signed an agreement for cooperation in a number of innovative scientific-technical fields.
Atom Innovation will help IHEP to introduce and commercialize its high-tech civil purpose products designed for use in the fields of medicine, non-destructive control, industrial testing, power engineering, safety and protection.
The key directions of the cooperation between Atom Innovation and the leading institute of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation in conducting fundamental research and establishing venture businesses on their basis are as follows:
development of modern technologies for designing and manufacturing sources of uninterruptible power supply on the basis of low-temperature super-conductivity;
promotion of radiographic systems and acoustic gas analyzers on the Russian and foreign markets;
preparation for and conduct of joint scientific studies, particularly, for enhancing the efficiency and safety of nuclear power plants;
development and implementation of a project to equip high schools and other educational institutions with cosmic ray detectors for enhancing the interest of schoolchildren and students in the achievements of modern science and engineering and for training potential personnel for science-intensive sectors of the national economy.
The parties have agreed to draft a joint plan of action for implementing the abovementioned directions and other research, development, experimental and innovative projects required by the market.
