OREANDA-NEWS. On March 27, 2009 Representatives of the general contractor of Olimpiysky NSC – a German architecture bureau GMP have brought to Kyiv a project of reconstruction of the national sport complex Olimpiysky.

Deputy Minister of Family, Youth and Sport Serhii Drach announced, on the Open Door Day on the Olimpiysky Stadium. According to him, the cost of reconstruction works will be known in the middle of May.

“On the night of March 26 the Germans brought 70 volumes of the project in Ukraine. The procedure of transition of these documents to the Ukrainian side is being underway. In this view it gives an opportunity to determine the cost of the project of NSC Olimpiysky reconstruction and in the course of 45 days to approve all financial showing of the projects,” Serhii Drach noted.

The Deputy Minister informed to journalists that to the work over the project, except the two foreign consultative companies selected by a tender, the national institutions will be attracted either.

 “It is impossible to build the best stadium in Europe, a stadium of elite class without consultative aid. The work over such projects will have to draw specialists as they can anticipate where to spend less, how to optimize the decisions, they can assist in the issues of management the object and monitor the quality of implementation of works,” Serhii Drach stressed.

The Deputy Minister also told about the activities which are to be fulfilled on the Olimpiysky NSC in the nearest month. In particular, in April the back walls and transfer of networks will be completed, laying out of heating networks will start.

The chief engineer of a holding company, Kyivmiskbud Olexandr Galytsky added according to the schedule of reconstruction of the Olimpiysky NSC in April the construction elements that are to hold seats of a lower tier will be laid.

In addition, according to Olexandr Galytsky in the nearest two months enterprises are to be determined to fulfill works in production of metal constructions for the modern roof structure to be built over the stadium.

Deputy Minister Serhii Drach described as high-level the works made by the general contractor on reconstruction of the Olimpiysky NSC to the holding company Kyivmiskbud.

“Just owing to non-standard administrative and technological approaches through the short period – from beginning of December of 2008 – such large-scale building and assembly works have proved possible. Nowadays 190 main units of equipment and around 1 thousand employees are involved into building activity on the object. We clearly stick to the schedule of works, which is coordinated with the UEFA experts,” Serhiii Drach stressed.
