OREANDA-NEWS. On March 24-25, 2009 the visit of the delegation of the FAS Russia headed by the Stats-Secretary - Deputy Head of the FAS Russia Mr. Andrey Tsarikovskiy took place in Brasilia, Brazil, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The negotiations with the high level officials of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense of the Ministry of Justice of the Federal Republic of Brazil (CADE) and representatives of the Secretariat for Economic Law of the Ministry of Justice of the Federal Republic of Brazil (SDE) were held within the frameworks of the visit.

During the negotiations three blocks of issues on cooperation between the FAS Russia and authorities which are included into the system of Brazilian competition policy, where besides CADE and SDE enters also the Secretariat for Economic Monitoring of the Ministry of Finance of the Federal Republic of Brazil (SEAE), were discussed.

1st, the Parties exchanged the experience in development of national competition legislation. Besides, the activity of SDE was introduced in relation to combating cartels including bid rigging at public procurements.

2nd, within the frameworks of the realization of bilateral cooperation the perspectives of signing the bilateral Program on cooperation for the years 2009-2010, provided it is approved by three authorities of the Brazilian system of competition policy, were considered. The Parties agreed to sign the given Program within the frameworks of forthcoming bilateral meetings.

3rd, the Parties exchanged the opinions on the current issues of preparation and organization of BRIC International Competition Conference, which will be held on September 1-2, 2009 in Kazan. The Brazilian Party was satisfied with the process of preparation for the Conference and expressed full support to the ideas of the FAS Russia on the essential and organizational issues of the Conference.
