Gazprom Delegation Pays Working Visit to Perm Krai
OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2009. Headed by Oleg Aksyutin, Member of the Management Committee – Head of the Gas Transportation, Underground Storage and Utilization Department and Viktor Ilyushin, Member of the Management Committee – Head of the Department of Relationships with Regional Authorities of the Russian Federation, a Gazprom delegation visited today the Perm Krai companies dealing with gas turbine equipment engineering and production. The delegation was comprised of heads and specialists from Gazprom’s Administration and its subsidiary companies. In addition, the delegation was accompanied by Dmitry Petrov, Director General of Oboronprom United Industrial Corporation (OPK Oboronprom).
Within the visit the delegation took part in a solemn ceremony, at which the Perm Motor Plant awarded Gazprom a certificate for the anniversary (500th) gas pumping unit produced by the plant at the Company’s request.
Addressing the meeting, Oleg Aksyutin emphasized that for 17 years already the Perm Krai had been a production center of new-generation gas pumping facilities. Over these years Perm engine building companies had proven to be reliable partners of Gazprom in implementing programs for the gas industry development.
As part of the Urals – Gazprom joint comprehensive programs aimed at engineering, production, delivery and maintenance of new-generation gas pumping facilities and gas turbine stations a wide range of promising gas turbine facilities was created, varying in capacity from 2.5 to 25 MW.
“I am confident that the track record of constructive cooperation will enable Gazprom and Perm engine building companies to successfully meet the Russian gas industry challenges in the long-term,” noted Oleg Aksyutin.
Gazprom’s delegation held a meeting at the Perm Motor Plant dedicated to the expansion of engine repair capacities for the gas pumping equipment.
The meeting addressed issues of ensuring a timely and quality repair and maintenance of gas turbine engines. It was underlined that the successful implementation of Gazprom’s large-scale tasks oriented at expansion and upgrade of Russia’s gas transportation system were closely connected, for instance, with the availability of repair bases to Russian engine building companies for performing qualified repair and maintenance activities. Supply of repair capacities is an important prerequisite for further cooperation between Gazprom and domestic engine building companies. The meeting participants stressed the necessity to adopt and execute the Perm Motor Plant’s program aimed at securing a full and timely implementation of Gazprom’s requests for repair as well as settling of pricing issues related to repair of gas pumping equipment.
Gazprom’s delegation also visited Iskra-Turbogaz.
