OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2009. AvtoVAZ has hiked selling prices for Lada cars manufactured in 2009 by 2.5% effective today, the automotive company’s press service says. The car maker officially reported a rise in prices starting March 30 on March 25. “The revision of car prices upward is attributable to the need to offset inflationary processes. Costs have soared on the rising dollar and euro, since prices for imported auto components have become more expensive. First and foremost, this concerns deluxe assembly equipment where the share of imports is around 30%”, the company said in a press release.
