OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 March 2009 was announced, that Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the presentation of projects developed by St Petersburg companies on 26 March in defiance of the official protocol. The presentation was meant for a delegation accompanying the president of Turkmenistan in the pavilion of Yarovit company.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov viewed the stands of Yarovit, Silovyye Machiny, Vozrozhdeniye, Kirov Plant, Zvezda and other companies and met with their heads.

It should be recalled that Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with St Petersburg Governor Valentina Matviyenko who presented a number of projects developed by St Petersburg companies specifically for Ashgabat.

"Our construction structures are considered best in Russia, and St. Petersburg is ready to share its experience with Turkmenistan," Matviyenko said.

Among the projects presented there are a modern pier with bridges, bypasses and conjunctions for 6 streets in the Turkmen capital as well as a project for improvement of a square facing the Cabinet of Ministers building that, according to the governor, would help recreate "St Petersburg's atmosphere" in Ashgabat.
