OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2009. As per cooperation agreement signed between EMT and Estonian Rollerskating Federation at the SportAct fair, EMT is now the main sponsor of Estonian Rollerskating Federation. The agreement was signed by Jaanus Ritson, CEO of Estonian Rollerskating Federation, Piret Murk-Dubout, EMT’s Executive Vice President in charge of Marketing and Evelin Ilves, President of Estonian Rollerskating Federation, reported the press-centre of EMT.

„Roller skating is a well-known and widely practiced sport in Estonia,“ said Piret Murk-Dubout during agreement signing. „We are delighted that Estonian Rollerskating Federation has given the sport that combines healthy lifestyle and entertainment a clear management vision, which, among other things, encourages roller skaters to acquire more serious ambitions and participate in competitions. The lowest step of the pyramid – wide spread of the sport – has already been achieved, thus it is time to start building next steps – amateur and competitive levels – because these steps are the basis of maintaining popularity of the sport in pyramid’s first level.“

EMT has cooperated with the Rollerskating Federation for two years. Last year both parties got to know each other and developed future plans. Since ideas about the development of the sport moved to the same direction, both parties are now ready to continue with the cooperation.
