FAS Terminated Case against Podyom-1 & LiftMontazhService
OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) terminated the case against "Podyom-1" CJSC and "LiftMontazhService" Ltd. for possible violations of Article 11 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (concerted actions) due to the absence of antimonopoly violations, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
Investigating the case, FAS Russia established that "Podyom-1" CJSC and "LiftMontazhService" Ltd. operated on the market of technical lift (elevator) maintenance in Zheleznodorozhny, the Moscow region.
It was suspected that the companies were involved in collusion for dividing the clients on the market for the services of lift maintenance in the Moscow region.
Processing the case, FAS Russia took into account that "Podyom-1" CJSC and "LiftMontazhService" Ltd. withdrew from concerted actions against the petitioner.
FAS Russia sent letters to Boris Gromov, the governor of the Moscow region, and Eugeny Zhirkov, the Head of the Zheleznodorozhny Town District, to inform that FAS Russia regularly receives complaints regarding concerted actions of the organizations providing housing services, including technical lift maintenance, in the Moscow region. FAS Russia proposed to take this in consideration when devising measures for developing competition in the Moscow region.
