OREANDA-NEWS. On March 26 2009 The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko promised overall support to the Japanese investments in Ukraine. The Head of Government imparted in Tokyo during a working lunch with leadership of International Friendship Exchange Council led by executive vice president of the Council Ryohei Murata.

“I personally and Ukrainian Government will provide overall support to Japanese business in Ukraine,” Yulia Tymoshenko announced.

According to the Head of Government, joining efforts of Ukraine and Japan directed to the development of economics of the two states proves especially important during the world financial crisis as this will give chance for the countries to be stronger.

The Prime Minister stressed the Gov’t is keen on the Japanese business to realize in Ukraine the projects on modernization and reconstruction in all areas of activity but not only in energy or on certain enterprises which will help the country to weather the crisis stronger.

Yulia Tymoshenko noted Ukraine can become for Japan a reliable and perspective partner: “Every investment of Japan to Ukraine does not only strengthen bilateral ties, economics and potential of the two states, but reinforces the freedom of our countries”.

The Head of Government underlines it is Japan that declared a concept of the “Arch of freedom and prosperity” and Ukraine supports it completely.

In his turn, Ryohei Murata noted Japan is well aware of the difficulties Ukraine is facing, joined to the global financial crisis. He also expressed assurance that Japan concerns with furthering and strengthening of economic ties with Ukraine.
