OREANDA-NEWS. March 26, 2009. A Moscow-Delhi video bridge took place at RIA Novosti Information Center Mar 25 2009. The topic of the discussion was “Alternative Sources of Fuel under Global Financial Crisis.”

Russia was represented by leading experts in the field of alternative energy, particularly, the member of the International Award Committee of the Global Energy international energy prize Vladimir Kvint and the winners of the 5th All-Russian Competition of Research Projects in the Field of Power Engineering “Energy of the Youth.”

“It was a very interesting discussion. Unfortunately, two hours were not enough for us to ask our foreign colleagues all the questions we wanted to ask. Nevertheless, it was very interesting for us to see how well-known scientists of the two countries exchanged experience and knowledge and discussed urgent complex problems,” says one of the winners of Energy of the Youth 2008 Ivan Putsylov.

“Alternative fuel is an urgent problem not only for Russia and India but for the whole world. Today, almost all energy experts are studying this problem, which is proved by the works of the last years’ laureates of the Global Energy and the Energy of the Youth. Russia realizes that it is important to develop alternative sources of energy worldwide. That’s why we award not only Russian but also foreign scientists studying this problem,” says the executive director of Global Energy Foundation.
