OREANDA-NEWS. March 26, 2009. The awarding ceremony took place at Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Mar 25 2009. The awards were presented by Director General of Rosatom state Nuclear Energy Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko, who pointed out that the Government had decided to award the managers of the companies which in the past years had ensured the construction of a Russian nuclear power plant abroad (Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant in China). “The launch of Tianwan NPP has marked the beginning of nuclear renaissance in Russia,” Kiriyenko said.

“Now, we can say that we have Tianwan NPP i.e. reference reactors of new generation and this is an advantage our rivals do not have.”

Vice President of Atomstroyexport CJSC Evgeny Reshetnikov thanked the Government of Russia and the administration of Rosatom for the high award and pointed out that Tianwan NPP was the best nuclear power plant in China. “This plant is very safe, reliable and profitable,” Reshetnikov said.

According to Presidential Decree № 1375 (Sept 17 2008) the following employees of Atomstroyexport CJSC have been granted state awards for outstanding contribution to the designing, construction and commissioning of the 1st and 2nd units of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant in China:
