OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 March 2009 was announced, that flood commission has started its work in JSC “Far Eastern Generating Company”. The commission under the leadership of Chief Engineer of JSC “FEGC” Aleksander TURAPIN will provide the reliable operation of energy system in the period of ice drift and raise of water level in the rivers of Khabarovsky and Primorsky krais, Amurskaya and Jewish Autonomous oblasts and the south of Yakutia.

In all branches of JSC “FEGC” (these are power stations and heating mains) will be realized a complex of actions for stable functioning in the flood period the hydro-technical installations, water intake and water purifying systems, systems of water removal and hydro-protection.

Specialists of JSC “FEGC” will carry out the examination of dams of ash-dumps of power stations, pump stations and other installations, drain and waste facilities, will strengthen the dips of earth installations. There will be created the emergency stock of lumber, tools, floating and rescue facilities. For the case of emergency and restoration and rescue works there will be getting ready the teams. At the enterprises of the energy company there will be conducted special rescue drills of the staff.

The hot link with local hydrologic services and constant interrelation with local organs of Civil Defense and services of Emergency Situations will allow to monitor the water level in the rivers 24 hours a day and respond respectively. Coordinated with MES and Rostechnadzor (Russian technical Supervision) actions of JSC “FEGC” should provide the safe state of equipment and non-stop operation of energy sites in the period of passage of spring flood.

After the passing the flood all the facilities will be examined for detection of possible damages and necessity of repair and restoration works.
