Russia and Belarus Set Up JV to Produce Combine Harvesters Near Omsk
OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 March 2009 was announced, that Belarus-based Lidagroprommash and Russia’s Omsk Region-based Kalachinsky Mechanical Plant have set up a joint venture to produce Belarusian Lida-1300 combine harvesters in the region, the regional government’s press office said.
The joint venture, called Omsklidagromash, plans to start producing combine harvesters in May. It plans to produce over 50 combine harvesters this year and increase annual production to 150 units by 2011.
Russia has been importing Belarusian Lida-1300 combine harvesters since 2007.
