OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2009. When conducting the additional tender on selecting the banks, which, upon consent of pensioners and receivers of cash aid, can open accounts to pay pensions cash aid, the tender committee of the Pension Fund of Ukraine recognized "Megabank" as the winner, which was granted with 80 balls (higher than all banks-participants), in such regions of Ukraine as: Feodosia, Simferopol district of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Lutsk, Kryvyi Rig of Dniepropetrivsk region, Zhytomyr district of Zhytomoyr region, Uzhgorod, Odesa, Rivne, Chortkiv of Ternopil region, Khmelnytskiy, Cherkassy district of Cherkassy region, reported the press-centre of Megabank.

Since now OJSC "Megabank" is entitled to conduct servicing of pensioners and receivers of cash aid in 24 regions of Ukraine, where the bank is represented by structural subdivisions.

As of 01.03.08 "Megabank" renders services to 28 thousand of pensioners and 57 thousand of aid receivers. In 2008 "Megabank" made social payments for the amount of UAH 286 million, that is almost twice more than in 2007. Within two months of 2009 the bank has already paid UAH 55 million as social payments.

Presently pensioners and receivers of cash aid are able to use the free service of account opening (along with issuance of payment plastic card or saving book), free payment of cash assets from the account and accrual of 12% per annum for the balance on the current account.
