At the same time, in January 2009, Moldovan import from EU countries amounted to US 62.58 million or 57.75% less than in December 2008 and 43.34% less than in January 2008.

The main export partners of Moldova are: Romania (US 15,342 million or 21.56% of the total export), Italy (US 8.67 million, 12,19%), Germany (US 3.13 million, 4.4% ), Britain (US 3.02 million, 4.24%), France (US 2.57 million, 3.61%), Poland (US 2.45 million, 3.44%), Hungary (US 1.5 million, 2,12%).

Among the main partners-importers of Moldova are: Romania (US 13.54 million, 6.71%), Germany (US 11,27 million, 5,58%), Italy (US 8.05 million, 3.99% ), Britain (US 4.14 million, 2.05%), Austria (US 3.76 million, 1.86%), Poland (US 3.27 million, 1.62%), France (US 3.07 million, 1,52%), Hungary (US 2.7 million, 1.34%).
