OREANDA-NEWS. On March 24, 2009 Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed about strengthening of the national currency. She announced to media people.

“I consider the hryvnya will be strengthening and there are no grounds for it to tumble,” the Premier stressed and explained she had opposed the policy of the National Bank, which has led to devaluation of the national currency. 

“For such re-devaluation there were neither financial nor economic grounds in Ukraine. But the Government cannot influence such policy and we are the hostages to this policy,” Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized.
