Global Energy to Open Energy Forum in St. Petersburg
OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2009. Leading scientists of the oil, gas and energy sector and representatives of Global Energy will take part in the forum.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Global Energy Evgeny Velikhov will make a report on global energy security during a plenary session on Mar 25.
To remind, in 2006 Evgeny velikhov, Robert Aymar (France) and Masaji Yoshikawa (Japan) were granted Global Energy prize for developing scientific-technical basis for international thermonuclear experimental reactor (ITER). Thermonuclear energy will be the key topic of most of the roundtables and sessions of the forum.
“It is not the first time that we are taking part in this forum and we are proud that one of the key energy events in Russia is organized with our support. It may so happen that the future laureates 2009 are present at this meeting and we are glad that the forum has become a kind of crossroads of the past and the future of Global Energy,” Executive Manager of Global Energy Foundation Igor Lobovsky said during a meeting of the foundation.
