OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2009. The Slavmir Company was set up in Moscow as an economic agent of the Russian Federation. The Gomel wholesale-retail company Obltorgsoyuz became its co-founder.

The new structure will advance goods produced by the companies of the oblast and other regions of the country to the market of the Russian capital. The Gomel oblast executive committee proposed setting up of a joint venture.

The company has already started functioning although the process of filling up staff vacancies is still underway. The company examines the market of goods and prices, has its Internet site, negotiates with promising trading partners.

An invitation to cooperate was sent to 127 Belarusian companies producing industrial goods and foodstuffs. The majority of them have already agreed to cooperate. The first contracts with the participation of the Slavmir Company can be concluded in early April, Elena Yefimenko said.
