Commissioning of Awaza Project Facilities Will Take Place in 2009
OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 March 2009 was announced, that six sanatoriums and rest homes for 1500 people will be commissioned in Turkmenistan's national tourist zone Awaza in June 2009. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov familiarized himself with the pace of construction of these facilities during his working visit to the city of Turkmenbashi on 20 March, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat.
In the course of inspection of facilities, the head of state noted that Turkish company Delta "was behind of schedule" and demanded that issues related to construction of facilities should be taken under special control.
During the visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov listened to a brief report by the head of Lotus Energy company on the pace of construction of a gas turbine power station which is to be commissioned in the end of this year. The president also inspected the construction of an artificial navigable waterway and a modern motorway in Awaza.
The president issued instructions for relevant officials "to ensure strict control over quality and timelines of construction of all facilities on the seaside resort."
