OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2009. In March of the current year the group of companies paid out over 1.1 mln. rubles to the veterans of the port as the financial assistance for the third quarter of 2009. The group of the companies provided assistance for those veterans, who had anniversaries and to active members of the Veteran Council.

In addition to the quarterly welfare allowances to the pensions the former port workers receive payments dated for the holidays and anniversaries. Special financial aid is provided for the participants of the war and victims of the siege of Leningrad. Annually the group of the companies organizes holidays and concerts dated for the Victory Day.

In 2008 the group of companies transferred over 4.5 mln. rubles for financial aid to the former port workers, which is by 30% more than in the last year.
