Negative Trade Balance of Moldova with Russia Increased by 54,8%
OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2009. In January 2009, the negative trade balance of Moldova with Russia amounted to US56,2 million, increasing by 54,8% as compared with January 2008.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in January 2009, the export of Moldovan goods to Russia has decreased by 28,2% - from US 17.7 million up to US 12.7 million.
Import of the Russian products has increased by 27,4% - from US 54.08 million up to US 68.9 million. The share of Russia in total amount of Moldavian export has declined from 20.01% up to 17.89% and in import- has grown from 20.69% up to 34.14%.
As it was informed before, in 2008 the negative trade balance of Moldova with Russia amounted to US 347.7 million, increasing by 30,8% as compared with 2007. In 2008, export of Moldovan goods to Russia grew by 36,8% - up to US 318.4 million. Import of the Russian products to Moldova has increased by 33,6% - up to US 661.1 million.
