OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2009. Turon Bank takes active measures to further develop the system of non-cash payments based on plastic cards and reduce off-bank circulation of cash.

The bank has recently conducted a lottery among its card-holding clients and the users of Turon Bank electronic terminals. The draw was conducted in accordance with the "Regulation on conducting lotteries among the holders of Turon Bank plastic cards, trade organizations and organizations transferring the salaries of their staff to plastic card accounts" and the order of the Chairman of the Board of Turon Bank. As a result nine winners were identified in three nominations. They received awards each ranging from 1.5 to 3 million soums.

Thus, the results in the "Most active users of plastic cards" nomination were formed as a result of the DUET programme's generation of 1,058 accounts that met the criteria of the nomination. In the first draw, a card issued to Zokirjon Babaev won in the first category. The sum of the award comprised 3 million soums. In the second category the prize of 1.5 million soums went to the cardholder of Buka branch of Turon Bank, Gulbuva Abduazimova. And the prize in the third category with an award of 500,000 soums went to the cardholder of Buka branch of Turon Bank, Tamara Belikova.

In the nomination "The most active user of a trade terminal" the results were summed up on 396 trade terminals. According to the decision of the Commission the prize in the first category went to the client that conducted 1,576 transactions for the total amount of 15,787,967 soums through the terminal installed at Jizzakh branch of the bank for F. Mirzaev Private Company.

The sum of the award made up 3 million soums. In the second category (award of 1.5 million soums) the winner was a client who conducted 1,406 transactions for 11,055,145 soums; the terminal installed at Buka branch of the bank for I. Sharipov Private Company. The award in the third category in the amount of 500,000 soums went to the client of Turon Bank who conducted 1,308 transactions for 45,912,461 soums; terminal installed by the Central Operational Department of the Bank for ESSO LLC.

In the third nomination, "The Most active enterprise to integrate a salary project", the analysis of the accounts of companies that conduct salary payments to their staffs' bank accounts were analysed for the period of October, November, and December 2008. As a result of the analysis it was identified that in the reporting period 732 enterprises transferred the salaries of 2 739 777 968.90 soums to the plastic card accounts of their staff.

According to the decision of the Commission, in the first category the award of 3 million soums was awarded to Republika Sinov va Sertifikatlashtirish Markazi, that transferred salaries worth 148,358,375.97 soums. The winner in the second category was Toshkeht Shahar Sinov Ba Sertifikatlashtirish Markazi. This client, who transferred some 123,946,969.37 soums in salaries to its staff's accounts was awarded 1.5 million soums. The winner in the third category was ZangiotaTumanGaz, who transferred the total of 96,997,691 soums. The sum of the award made up 500,000 soums.

It is worth pointing out that as of 1 January 2009 the plastic cards issued by Turon Bank made up 95,850, up 40% year-on-year. The total sum of transactions conducted at the trade points using the bank's plastic cards made up 33,453.5 million soums last year (up 4 times against 2007).
