OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2009. ROSNO’s Vladivostok branch has paid a private client a MOD insurance compensation for the INFINITI FX45 Premium vehicle damaged by fire. The insurance compensation has exceeded 1,730,000 roubles, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The vehicle caught fire while it was slowly moving on the Lugovaya Street. At first, the driver smelled burnt wiring, and then open flames appeared from the instrument panel. The driver tried to extinguish the fire on his own, but it was completely coped with only upon arrival of the fire brigade.

According to the opinion issued by the Fire Safety Supervision Department for Primorsky Kraj, the fire had started due to heat effects of the emergency mode of operation of the vehicle’s electrical equipment. The insured INFINITI, manufactured in 2007, has been classified as damaged beyond repair. This was the second year in a row that the vehicle’s owner insured it with ROSNO.

During the continuing first quarter of 2009, ROSNO’s Vladivostok branch paid over 4.1 mln roubles under MOD contracts. Apart from the payment for the burnt-out INFINITI, among the branch’s large payments made so far in 2009 are those for the stolen TOYOTA LAND CRUISER (1 million roubles) and for the SUZUKI ESCUDO damaged in a traffic accident in Moscow (800 thousand roubles).
