OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2009. Final exams have been held in the Kingisepp branch of the Institute of Industrial Safety

The Kingisepp branch of the Institute of Industrial Safety, Labour Protection and Social Partnership (IIS) completed a regular course of personnel retraining in the specialty of "Dock engineer of an integrated team at handling works". The specialized training was initiated by Ust-Luga Company.

The retraining program includes two months of theoretical classes and 200 hours of practical training in Ust-Luga port. The graduates receive a permit to work in sea and river ports in several specialties: a dock engineer, loading driver and strapper.

The course was completed by 18 people. This is already the second class of graduates on the basis of the IIS in Kingisepp. Over two years 155 residents of Kingisepp district have been retrained in the port specialties on the Company’s initiative.
