OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2009. The Government of Ukraine will be realizing a recovery plan for the aircraft building domain. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed on Friday during a meeting into the issues of support of national aircraft building.

“We will be introducing not only anti-crisis plan but the plan of invigoration and new dynamics of the development of aviation industry in Ukraine,” Yulia Tymoshenko said.

The Head of Government stressed Ukraine is among 7 leading aviation countries in the world and has a complete cycle of aircraft production. According to her, nowadays the aviation equipment produced in Ukraine is supplied to 50 countries, while 39 enterprises of different property forms are functioning in this area with 38 thousand employees.

Yulia Tymoshenko underlined only through the years of independence 5 new kinds planes have been designed such as An-140, An-148, An-74TK-300, An-38-100, An-ZT, a series of new aviation engines, 195 planes made and modernized and 16 kinds of aircrafts certified.

The Premier also informed in 2008 aviation domain has produced goods and provided services at the sum of UAH 4.4 bn, the growth of amounts of industrial production equaled 111.7% as compared to 2007: “So, the year of 2008 had been successful but the crisis clipped the wings and stopped these positive processes”.

Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized the Gov’t has to do all the best to preserve positive dynamics of growth in aircraft building domain.
