OREANDA-NEWS. March 20, 2009. Commercial Port of Vladivostok has confirmed its status of the best company in Russian stevedore business. As RIA PrimaMedia was reported in the press service of Commercial Port of Vladivostok, the port has become a winner of Russia sea trade ports association contest and has become the status of the best stevedore company 2008.

The port becomes a winner of this trade contest for two years an end. According to the Association contest organizing committee representative Anatoliy Shutka, the target object of the event is to reveal the most efficient and successful stevedore companies of the country. The pretender documentation was estimated according to some characteristics: absence of claims from cargo owners, profit and profitability dynamic, production investments, cargo processing growth. According to JSC Commercial Port of Vladivostok executive Viacheslav Perzev, the contest result is very pleasant, but expected. The past year was both hectic and successful for Vladivostok port.

“We have realized a number of berth modernization projects, conducted a container terminal reconstruction. Annual cargo processing plan was completed within ten month. According to 2008 work, the ports goods turnover was 5 million 914 thousand tone, what is by 21% more than in 2007”, JSC Commercial Port of Vladivostok head said. “The status of the best one imposes a high responsibility and with a glance of today’s not easy economic and in a severe competition environment it makes work in applied load. Vladivostok port plans to work with new types of cargo, investment program of a port infrastructure continuation. I’m pretty sure that it will let our company to keep a leadership in stevedore business and in the Far East and all over Russia”, Viacheslav Perzev stressed.
