OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 March 2009 was announced, that Turkmenistan's manufacturers invite all perspective partners as well as residents and guests of the Russian capital to the first exhibition of Turkmen products to be held in Moscow from 23 to 25 March.

The exhibition will demonstrate products turned out by the textile industry of Turkmenistan, specimen of the national decorative-applied art, jewelry and famous Turkmen carpets in pavilion N 3 of the Central Exhibition Complex "ExpoCenter" in Krasnaya Presnya. Admission to the exhibition is free.

The exhibition is intended as a venue for business discussions and establishment of contacts between representatives of Turkmen and Russian businesses. It will give boost to the development of multilateral mutually beneficial trade and economic relations between Russia and Turkmenistan. Visitors will have the opportunity to get to know the original and centuries-old culture and traditional crafts of the people of Turkmenistan.

The event is timed to the state visit of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Russian Federation and the Turkmen-Russian business forum to be held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia.

The head of state noted the importance of the exhibition at a recent government meeting in Ashgabat. He said "the exhibition is designed to demonstrate a rapidly growing economic potential of Turkmenistan." Gurbanguy Berdimuhamedov emphasized the strategic nature of the Turkmen-Russian relations and tasked the government to steadily develop and strengthen these relations in all spheres.
