OREANDA-NEWS. March 20, 2009. In February 2009, the prices in the industrial sector of Moldova have decreased by 4,7% as compared with the same period of the last year and by 3% as compared with January 2009.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, as compared with December 2008, prices of the industrial products decreased by 4,1%.

The prices in the mining industry have declined by 3,7% as compared with December 2008, by 1,5% - as compared to January this year and have grown by 5,8% as compared to February 2008.

The prices in the processing industry have declined by 4.3% as compared with December 2008, by 3.2% - as compared with January 2009 and by 6,2% - in comparison with February 2008.

The prices in the energy sector remained at the level of December 2008 and January, 2009, and grew by 23,2% as compared to the same period of the last year. Data do not include Transnistria.
