OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 March 2009 Southern Telecommunications Company (“UTK”) [(RTS: KUBN, KUBNP; МICEX: UTEL, UTELP; ADR OTC: STJSY, KUE FRA)], the principal fixed-line telecommunications provider for Russia’s Southern Federal District reported that its Board of Directors approved the new compositions of the Committees of the Company’s Board of Directors (Minutes № 20 of 11 March 2009).

According to the BoD decisions, Valentina Fyodorovna Veremianina was removed from the Audit Committee of UTK’s Board of Directors and was elected the Chairman of the Strategic Development Committee. Consequently, Evgeny Aleksandrovich Chechelnitsky stopped to act as the Chairman of the Strategic Development Committee of the Company’s Board of Directors.
