OREANDA-NEWS. On March 13, 2009 chairmen of the boards of agribusiness banks of CIS countries on the constituent assembly took a decision on Eurasian Agricultural Credit Association establishment, reported the press-centre of Russian Agricultural Bank.

This noncommercial intergovernmental organization established under initiative and with active participation of Russian Agricultural Bank and Belagroprombank will bring together about 10 agribusiness, agricultural and land banks and other credit organizations involved in agribusiness.

Primary objectives of Eurasian Agricultural Credit Association establishment are settlement of practical problems in agribusiness, assistance to effective and stable performance of the banking system in agribusiness, participation in the proposals preparation for banking operations regulation, assistance and support of scientific researches and studies in agribusiness, participation in the elaboration of monetary policy in agribusiness of member-countries.
